putting Pakistan into the controversial immigration ban list, White House
Chief of Staff Reince Priebus has acknowledged. He further hinted that the
ban - which restricts refugees, migrants and green-card holders from seven Muslim-dominated nations - could extend to
Pakistan in the near future. The seven-nations currently affected by Donald
Trump's immigration ban are Syria, Iran, Iraq, Libya, Somalia, Yemen and Libya.
"Those were the seven countries that
both, Congress and the Obama Administration, identified as being the seven
countries that were most identifiable with dangerous terrorism taking place
in their country," Mr Priebus said, in an interview, to CBS News."Now you can point to other countries
that have similar problems, like Pakistan and others. Perhaps, we need to
take it further. But for now, immediate steps, pulling the band-aid off, is
to do further vetting for people travelling in and out of those countries,"
the White House official added., visitors from Afghanistan and
Pakistan are subject to extreme vetting in the United States, as per Mr
Trump's executive order. United States is home to thousands of
Pakistani-Americans and Pakistani permanent residents.

അമേരിക്കയിൽ പ്രവേശനം വിലക്കിയിട്ടുള്ള ഏഴു മുസ്‌ലിം രാജ്യക്കാരുടെ പട്ടികയിൽ പാക്കിസ്ഥാൻകാരെയും അടുത്തഘട്ടത്തിൽ ഉൾപ്പെടുത്തിയേക്കുമെന്നു സൂചന.ഭീകര പ്രവർത്തനങ്ങൾ കൂടുതലായി നടക്കുന്ന രാജ്യങ്ങളെയാണ് ഇപ്പോൾ പട്ടികയിൽ ഉൾപ്പെടുത്തിയിട്ടുള്ളത്. ഒബാമ ഭരണകൂടം തന്നെയാണ് ഈ രാജ്യങ്ങളിൽ ഭീകരത നടമാടുന്നതായി കണ്ടെത്തിയത്- വൈറ്റ്ഹൗസ് വക്താവ് റിൻസ് പ്രീബുസ് പറഞ്ഞു.
പാക്കിസ്ഥാൻ പോലെ മറ്റു രാജ്യങ്ങളിലും ഭീകരതയുടെ പ്രശ്നമുണ്ട്. പിന്നീട് ഒരു ഘട്ടത്തിൽ ഇത്തരം രാജ്യങ്ങളുടെ കാര്യം പരിഗണിക്കേണ്ടിവരുമെന്നും അദ്ദേഹം സിബിഎസ് ന്യൂസിനോടു പറഞ്ഞു.ഏറെ വിചിന്തനത്തിനുശേഷമാണ് എക്സിക്യൂട്ടീവ് ഉത്തരവ് പുറപ്പെടുവിച്ചതെന്നും പ്രീബുസ് പറഞ്ഞു.മൂന്നു ദിവസത്തെ മുന്നറിയിപ്പു കൊടുക്കണമായിരുന്നുവെന്നു ചിലർ പറയുന്നുണ്ട്. എന്നാൽ ഇത്തരം മുന്നറിയിപ്പു നൽകിയിരുന്നെങ്കിൽ ഭീകരർ അവരുടെ യാത്രാ പരിപാടി അതനുസരിച്ചു ക്രമീകരിക്കുമായിരുന്നുവെന്നു മാത്രം-പ്രീബുസ് ചൂണ്ടിക്കാട്ടി. അഭയാർഥികളെന്ന വ്യാജേന ഭീകരർ അമേരിക്കയിൽ എത്തുന്നതു തടയാനാണ് ഏഴു രാജ്യക്കാർക്ക് വീസ നിരോധനം ഏർപ്പെടുത്തുന്നതെന്നു നേരത്തെ ട്രംപ് ഭരണകൂടം വ്യക്തമാക്കിയിരുന്നു.
