A college student was pulled out of a crowded bus and stabbed to death in front of her co-passengers by a man suspected of stalking her in Madhya Pradesh on Friday, police said.The 19-year-old tribal girl was returning from her college in Rewa district to her home in Sidhi for Diwali celebrations. She was attacked in the Kusumi area, 600km from state capital Bhopal, police said.The accused, identified as 23-year-old Shivendra Singh Parihar, boarded the bus midway. Passengers said he was carrying a can of petrol.A passenger said as soon as the girl saw Parihar insidethe bus, she tried to hide. But he spotted the girl, sat behind her and started troubling her. A few passengers intervened and shifted the girl to another seat. Parihar asked the driver to stop the bus after some time, and suddenly poured petrol on the girl. He threatened to set the bus ablaze if anyone came to the girl’s rescue.He then pulled the girl out of the vehicle and stabbed her repeatedly, killing her on the spot, police said.

The bus conductor and a co-passenger who was seated next to the girl were injured in the attack.“Primary investigations suggest that the accused knew the girl very well and could have been stalking her. The crime was pre-planned, as the accused, who had boarded the bus with a petrol can and knife, seemed to have complete information about the girl...,” Sidhi superintendent of police Abid Khan said.

ഭോപ്പലിൽനിന്നും 600കിലോമീറ്റർ അകലെ കുസുമി ഏരിയയിലാണ് പെൺകുട്ടി അക്രമിക്കപ്പെട്ടത്. സംഭവത്തിന് പിന്നിൽ ശിവേന്ദ്ര സിങ് പരിഹാർ എന്ന 23കാരനാണെന്ന് തിരിച്ചറിഞ്ഞിട്ടുണ്ട്. പെട്രോളുമായി പെൺകുട്ടിയുടെ ബസിൽ കയറിയ പ്രതി അവരുടെ അരികിൽ വന്നിരിക്കുകയും ഭീഷണിപ്പെടുത്തുകയും ചെയ്തു. ഇത് ശ്രദ്ധയിൽപെട്ട യാത്രക്കാർ പെൺകുട്ടിയെ മറ്റൊരു സീറ്റിൽ ഇരുത്തി.

പെെട്ടന്ന് ബസ് നിർത്താൻ ആക്രോശിച്ച യുവാവ് പെൺകുട്ടിയുടെ ദേഹത്ത് പെട്രോൾ ഒഴിക്കുകയും ബസ് മുന്നോെട്ടടുക്കുകയോ രക്ഷിക്കാൻ അടുത്തേക്ക് വരുകയോ ചെയ്താൽ പെൺകുട്ടിയെ കത്തിക്കുമെന്ന് ഭീഷണിപ്പെടുത്തുകയും ചെയ്തു.ശേഷം യുവാവ് പെൺകുട്ടിയെ ബസിന് പുറത്തേക്ക് തള്ളിയിടുകയും കത്തി ഉപയോഗിച്ച് തുടർച്ചയായി കുത്തുകയും ചെയ്തു. പെൺകുട്ടി സംഭവസ്ഥലത്ത് തന്നെ മരിച്ചു. പ്രാഥമികാന്വേഷണത്തിൽ പ്രതിക്ക് പെൺകുട്ടിയെ നന്നായി അറിയാമെന്നും കൃത്യമായി പദ്ധതിയോടെയായിരുന്നു കൊലയെന്നും പൊലീസ് പറഞ്ഞു.
