LET’S DEDICATE THIS DIWALI TO OUR SOLDIERS

ദീപാവലി ധീരജവാൻമാർക്ക്​ സമർപ്പിക്കുന്നു– മോദി

Prime Minister Narendra Modi saluted the courage of Indian soldiers on Sunday, asking citizens to dedicate the Diwali festivities to the forces that “have been sacrificing their everything for the safety and security of the country”.In his monthly ‘Mann ki Baat’ programme on All India Radio, Modi urged the state governments and the people to find ways to defeat separatist tendencies and mentalities.

Modi met with the personnel of the Indo Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) and the army during a visit to Kinnaur district in Himachal Pradesh. “Jai Jawan! Jai Hind!” he said in a tweet accompanied by photos of the trip. In the 25th edition of his radio address, Modi said: “Their dedication and labour has overwhelmed me completely. Let us dedicate this Diwali to our armed forces.”

Modi’s address came against the backdrop of escalating hostilities between India and Pakistan at the border.“People from all walks of life sent messages of love and encouragement for our soldiers, just as they lit candles for their well-being,” the PM said in his over half-an-hour address, underlining that the #Sandesh2Soldiers campaign was met with enthusiasm.

“From students, villagers and traders to political leaders and sportspersons, everyone has sent a Diwali message for our soldiers,” Modi said.

രാജ്യം ദീപാവലി ആഘോഷങ്ങൾ അതിർത്തിയിൽ വീരമൃത്യു വരിച്ച ജവാൻമാർക്ക്​ സമർപ്പിക്കുന്നുവെന്ന്​ ​ പ്രധാനമന്ത്രി നരേന്ദ്രമോദി. നന്മയുടെ ആഘോഷമായ ദീപാവലി ഒരു ദിവസത്തിനുള്ളിൽ കഴിയുന്നില്ല. കഴിഞ്ഞ കുറച്ചു മാസങ്ങളിൽ രാജ്യത്തി​െൻറ അതിർത്തി സംരക്ഷിക്കാൻ ജീവത്യാഗം ചെയ്​ത ജവാൻമാരുടെ പേരിലാണ്​ ദീപാവലി ആഘോഷിക്കേണ്ടത്​. അവരുടെ നന്മക്ക്​ വേണ്ടിയാണ്​ വിളക്കുകൾ തെളിയേണ്ടത്​. സൈനികർക്ക്​​ നിങ്ങളുടെ സ്​നേഹമറിയിച്ചുകൊണ്ടുള്ള സന്ദേശങ്ങളയക്കണമെന്നും അവരെ പ്രോത്​സാഹിപ്പിക്കണമെന്നും അദ്ദേഹം പറഞ്ഞു.

രാഷ്​ട്രത്തെ പിന്തുണക്കുന്നവർക്കും സുരക്ഷയും സമാധാനവും സംരക്ഷിക്കുന്ന ജവാൻമാർക്കും നന്ദിയർപ്പിക്കുകയാണെന്നും ദീപാവലി സന്ദേശം നൽകികൊണ്ട്​  മോദി പറഞ്ഞു.സംസ്ഥാനങ്ങൾ വികസനത്തി​െൻറ പാതയിലാണ്​. കേരളവും ഗുജറാത്തും തുറന്നസ്ഥലങ്ങളിലുള്ള മലമൂത്രവിസർജ്ജനം ഒഴിവാക്കി സമ്പൂർണ ശൗചാലയ സംസ്ഥാനങ്ങളായി മാറി. വികസനത്തിനായി സർക്കാർ ധാരാളം ജനോപകാര പദ്ധതികൾ നടപ്പാക്കുന്നുണ്ടെന്നും അദ്ദേഹം കൂട്ടിച്ചേർത്തു.
