DALIT WOMEN’S ARREST: WOMAN OUT ON BAIL ATTEMPTS SUICIDE
മുഖ്യമന്ത്രിയുടെ നാട്ടില്‍ ക്രിമിനലുകള്‍ അഴിഞ്ഞാടുന്നു: സുധീരന്‍
One of the two women, who was arrested and
released on bail in connection with the attack on CPM worker Shijin after
barging into the party's branch committee office at Kuttimakul, was
admitted to the Thalassery Indira Gandhi hospital in a serious condition after
she consumed an overdose of medicine. Anjana (25), daughter of Congress
leader N Rajan, was admitted to the intensive care unit of the hospital. The
incident happened around 11.30 pm on Saturday.
Anjana and her sister Akhila, who
were remanded by the court in the case, were granted bail on Saturday.
They reached their house on Saturday night. Akhila said her sister attempted
suicide due to the mental anguish resulting from CPM casting aspersions on
. told reporters, "We are being portrayed as members of a criminal
gang which trespassed into the Marxist party's office with dangerous
weapons. "For the past many years, we were being traumatised
and insulted by CPI(M) workers. We had not gone there to
attack anyone, only to question them for calling us by our caste
and mocking at us. Just because we belong to this caste, does it mean
we do not have a right to live?" Akila asked
മുഖ്യമന്ത്രിയുടെ സ്വന്തം നാട്ടില്‍ ക്രിമിനല്‍ സംഘങ്ങള്‍ അഴിഞ്ഞാടുകയാണെന്ന് കെപിസിസി പ്രസിഡന്റ് വി.എം. സുധീരന്‍. എന്നാല്‍ മുഖ്യമന്ത്രി ഇതൊന്നുമറിയാതെ മൗനം പാലിക്കുകയാണെന്നും സുധീരന്‍ പറഞ്ഞു. ഇത് ഒരിക്കലും അംഗീകരിക്കാന്‍ സാധിക്കില്ലെന്നും അദ്ദേഹം പറഞ്ഞു.
തലശ്ശേരി കുട്ടിമാക്കൂലില്‍ സിപിഎം ഓഫീസ് ആക്രമിച്ചെന്ന പേരില്‍ ദളിത് യുവതികളെ അറസ്റ്റു ചെയ്ത സംഭവത്തില്‍ പ്രതികരിക്കുകയായിരുന്നു കെപിസിസി പ്രസിഡന്റ്. ഇന്നലെ രാത്രി കണ്ണൂരിലെ കോണ്‍ഗ്രസ് നിയന്ത്രണത്തിലുള്ള വായനശാലയ്ക്ക് നേരെയുണ്ടായ ബോംബേറ് കൂടി ചൂണ്ടിക്കാണിച്ചായിരുന്നു സുധീരന്റെ വിമര്‍ശം....
തലശേരിയില്‍ അണികളുടെ പ്രവര്‍ത്തിയും അവരുടെ ആജ്ഞാനുസരണം പോലീസ് ചെയ്യുന്നതിനെയും പരോക്ഷമായി ന്യായീകരിക്കുന്ന നിലപാടാണ് മുഖ്യമന്ത്രി ചെയ്യുന്നത്. എതിര്‍ക്കുന്നവരെ അടിച്ചൊതുക്കുന്ന സമീപനം സിപിഎം തിരുത്താന്‍ തയ്യാറാകണമെന്നും സുധീരന്‍ ആവശ്യപ്പെട്ടു
കണ്ണൂര്‍ ഒരു സംഘര്‍ഷഭൂമിയായി മാറുകയാണ്. അവിടെ സിപിഎമ്മിന്റെ ന്യായവാദങ്ങള്‍ ആവര്‍ത്തിക്കുന്ന നടപടിയാണ് പോലീസിന്റെ ഭാഗത്തുനിന്നുണ്ടാകന്നത്. സിപിഎം നേതാക്കളുടെ ഭാഷയിലാണ് കണ്ണൂരിലെ പോലീസ് സംസാരിക്കുന്നതെന്നും കെപിസിസി പ്രസിഡന്റ് പറഞ്ഞു..
ദളിത് യുവതികള്‍ ജയിലിലായ സംഭവത്തില്‍ മുഖ്യമന്ത്രിയുടെ പ്രതികരണം ഞട്ടിക്കുന്നതാണ്. തനിക്കൊന്നും അറിയില്ലെന്നും പോലീസിനോട് ചോദിക്കാനുമാണ് അദ്ദേഹം പറഞ്ഞത്. അങ്ങനെയെങ്കില്‍ എന്തിനാണ് ആഭ്യന്തര മന്ത്രിയും മുഖ്യമന്ത്രിയും. പോലീസ് ഭരിച്ചാല്‍ പോരെയെന്നും അദ്ദേഹം ചോദിച്ചു.
