ലിയോനാർഡ് നിമോയ് അന്തരിച്ചു 

Leonard Nimoy, the man who made Mr. Spock famous, died on Friday at age 83. Born in Boston in 1931, Nimoy was the son of Ukrainian immigrants. Encouraged by his grandfather, he started acting as an amateur in community theater at the age of 8. He took on the life-changing role of Spock in 1965, at the age of 34 — by which point he'd been a professional actor for 15 years.What should have been Nimoy's breakout role came in the 1952 movie Kid Monk Baroni, where he landed the title role, playing a boxer with a misshapen face. But the movie was a flop, and Nimoy found himself back in Boston the following year, taking drama classes at Boston College. He also enrolled in the army for a year.പ്രമുഖ അമേരിക്കൻ നടൻ  ലിയോനാർഡ് നിമോയ്(83)​ അന്തരിച്ചു. ശ്വാസകോശത്തിൽ  അസുഖത്തെ തുടർന്ന് ചികിത്സയിലായിരുന്നു. ലോസ് ഏഞ്ചൽസിലെ സ്വവസതിയിൽ വെള്ളിയാഴ്ച രാവിലെ 8.40നായിരുന്നു അന്ത്യം.അഭിനേതാവ്,​ സംവിധായകൻ, എഴുത്തുകാരൻ,​ ഗായകൻ,​ ഫോട്ടോഗ്രാഫർ തുടങ്ങി നിരവധി മേഖലകളിൽ കയ്യൊപ്പ് പതിപ്പിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്. സയൻസ് ഫിക്ഷൻ ആക്ഷനായ 'സ്റ്റാർ ട്രെക്ക്:ദി ഒറിജിനൽ സീരീസി'ലെ സ്പോക് എന്ന വേഷത്തിലൂടെയാണ് നിമോയ് ശ്രദ്ധേയനായത്. ​2013ൽ പുറത്തിറങ്ങിയ സ്റ്റാർ ട്രെക് ഇന്റു ഡാർക്ക്നെസ് എന്ന ചിത്രത്തിലാണ് അദ്ദേഹം അവസാനം അഭിനയിച്ചത്. ചിത്രത്തിൽ അതിഥി വേഷത്തിലാണ് നിമോയ് പ്രത്യക്ഷപ്പെട്ടത്.
