“Run Kerala Run” in third week of January

Thepeople at the same time in the country. The group run is being held at 7,000 centres to

make all sections of society its participants.

Every Panchayat will have 7 points and one point each per ward in Municipality

Corporations. The public can participate at any centre they like. The names of centres

will be published later.

Students of all educational institutions in the state will participate in the group run.

Government officials and private sector executives will also participate in it. To ensure

the participation of students, the department of education will give special instructions.

Different government departments will also cooperate with the project.

The police, the armed forces, the NCC and the student police will work for the success

of the group run. Arrangements will be made in all districts for the success of the group

run, and people’s representatives and others will participate in it. In each district, the

group run will be held under the leadership of a minister. The state government

requests all the people to participate in this run, which will be centred at the main

streets, junctions, establishments and educational institutions in the state.

To coordinate the group run, a special control room will be opened. Institutions,

organisations and individuals can participate in the group run by contacting the control

room. At each point, the group run will be led by a sports lover. The state government

requests school principals, heads of institutions, and office-bearers of voluntary

organisations to take charge of the group run at each centre. To make the group run

colourful, the chief minister requested participants at each centre to make effort with

sportsman’s spirit.

Those who organise the group run in the most attractive way w14: A group run is being organised across Kerala to make the National Games, which the state is hosting after 28 years, a historic event. “Run Kerala Run”, in which a good share of the people of Kerala will take part, isbeing held between 20th and 22nd January 2015 to declare solidarity with the NationalGames, and to welcome sportspersons, sports organisers and sports lovers from different parts of the country to the state.

The group run will cover distances from 200 metres to 800 meters.
