Man sells newborn
for Rs 30,000 to buy liquor
Mysore: A man sold his 20-day-old newborn son for Rs 30,000 when he was short of money to buy liquor. As per the complaint filed by the baby's mother, police rescued the baby who was about to be handed over to the begging racket. Police also held three persons along with the baby's father. Nisar Khan from Udayagiri tried to sell his son through a middleman. He is a sculptor and a drunkard. Due to rain, he was unable to go work and fell short of money. He approached an auto driver named Sarafulla Khan and they handed over the child to Sikandar and Nisar was given an advance of Rs 10,000.
