KOVAL ELLA THORAN
(കോവൽ ഇല തോരൻ) 

The young leaves and slender tops of the stems of Ivy Guard are cooked and eaten. This fresh tender gourd is an easy dish for starters and a summer delight!

1 Kooval ella (leaves of Ivy guard) 1 bunch
2 Chopped onion 1
3 Green chillies 2
4 Turmeric powder 1 teaspoon
5 Scraped Coconut 3 tablespoon
6 Curry leaves
7 Mustard seeds
8 Coconut oil 1 tablespoon
9 Salt

Clean the Ivy guard leaves and chop it finely. Season the mustard seeds and add onion, green chillies, turmeric powder, coconut and saute it. Add the chopped Ivy guard leaves to this and add salt. Allow it to be steamed.
