EZHUTHACHAN AWARD -2012-13
PRESENTED TO ATOOR RAVI VARMA
Poet
Atoor Ravi Varma was presented with the state government's highest literary
honour Ezhuthachan Puraskaram. Chief minister Oommen Chandy presented the award
in the presence of writers and literary lovers. Chief secretary Jose Cyriac,
Kerala Sahitya Akademi president Perumbadavam Sreedharan, principal secretary
of cultural department Sajan Peter, secretary Sahithya Akademi Gopalakrishnan,
ONV Kurup and Panmana Ramachandran Nair attended.
The award, which includes a purse of Rs.1.5 lakh, a citation and a statuette, was decided by a committee comprising Kerala Sahitya Akademi president Perumbadavam Sreedharan (chairman), D. Babu Paul, C.V. Balakrishnan, Akbar Kakkattil, and principal secretary Sajan Peter (member secretary).In the cultural KC Jiepsh president the fuantion held at Durbar hall.
