നിര്‍ദ്ധനരായ രോഗികള്‍ക്ക്  ആവശ്യമായ  മാര്‍ഗ്ഗനിര്‍ദ്ദേശം ,താമസ സൗകര്യം ,ആഹാരം, വൈദ്യസഹായം എന്നിവ  ജാതി മത വ്യത്യാസം  കൂടാതെ  സൌജന്യ മായി  നല്‍കുന്ന  ഓര്‍ത്തഡോക്‍സ്‌ സഭയുടെ  ധര്മ്മസ്ഥാപനം .

 Karunya Guidance Centre is a registered charity project to help poor patients, mainly CANCER PATIENTS to have medical treatment in advanced medical centers in Trivandrum city. It is operating in fullswing accomodating an average of fifty people daily, irrespective of caste, creed or color. We provide for them accomodation, food, medical aid and travel expenses. The amount needed for the ofersaid is being met by our friends and well wishers like you.This is a multi-purpose scheme of the KARUNYA GUIDANCE CENTER that offers a variety of activities such as: A hospice facility, a shelter for the people from the streets, a home for the elderly poor, a daycare center for the local poor people.  recieving a diagnosis of advancing cancer, or other seriosly life-limiting deseases, often suffer from a sense of shock, isolation or fear. In addition they may have physical symtoms such as weakness and pain, for which they desperately need help. The impact of such a diagnosis on their family is also enormous. Practical issues like finance and nursing are to be considered, along ith the qustions like, "Why me?" and How long".

The Vishranthi Bhavan is founded primarily to deal with such issues hilst providing the aforementioned activities. With this building there are 60 single rooms, 2 Dormitories, 1 Library, a Kitchen and Dining Room, a Clinic and a Chapel.ALL of this is sponcered by friends and well wishers. The Actual Building construction is over but it is yet to be furnished. The innaguration of the functioning will be held on 13th December, 1998. All are kindly invited to this gracious occasion.

Karunya is mainly an hospital oriented charity project of the Malankara Orthodox Syrian Church, registered under the Charitable Society Act (No. 434/88). It was started to provide guidance, accommodation, food and medical aid and assistance to the poor patients irrespective of caste creed or sex, who came to a Thiruvananthapuram city to have treatment in the advanced Medical Centers like Regional Cancer Center , Sree Chithra Thirunal Medical Center. The Medical College Hospital Complex. The Center is a combined project of the marriage Assistance Foundation (M.A.F) and the sick Aid foundation (S.A.F) – two organization of the church functioning for the last fourty years.Large number of people from various parts of kerala and on some occasions from outside the state come to the city with patients, who do not know where to go and whom to meet. We are directing and guiding them to the exact point. If they do not get admission in the referral hospitals on day of arrival, We give them accommodation. The Hospitals like Sree Chithra Thirunal Medical Center and Regional Cancer Center do not allow the bystanders (of the patients) to stay with the patients and at the same time bystanders should have to stay in the city limit. We provide free accommodation to such bystanders also. The Regional Cancer Centre and the Medical College hospital, are always crowded and unable to provide beds to all the patients, On such occasions there hospital authorities are directing the people to our Centre with their letters. Thus generally we have a combined group of patients under treatement in different hospitals, their bystanders and there people whose admission are under pending.
