TOONZ ANIMATION SIGNS UP WITH LOS ANGELES-BASED COMPANY

Toonz Animation India Thursday signed an agreement with Los Angeles-based Lawless Entertainment as worldwide representative for licensing and merchandising 'Paddy's Pages', a pre-school series, a company official informed.'We are honoured to work with Toonz Animation on this adorable property, 'Paddy's Pages', which is sure to be a success worldwide,' said Cathy Malatesta, president of Lawless Entertainment.The animated series developed by Toonz, is a 25-episode series. It takes children on an enchanting journey, introduces them to the pleasures of reading, helps them discover their environment and hones problem-solving skills.

It is a chronicle adventure journey of six-year-old Paddy, who is fond of reading books. One day he finds a book that has a large number of stories without endings. Together with his friends Mobey the monkey, Effy the elephant, Riffy the giraffe and Henry the tiger, Paddy sets out to find the missing endings.K.P. Muraleedharan, senior designer with Toonz said Paddy is a typical child of today who has an unbridled hunger for knowledge.'It is impossible to visualize the imagination of a child when he reads a book, 'Paddy's Pages' is an honest effort to portray that,' said Muraleedharan.Toonz, based in Technopark, is a major provider 
of animation to top US and European producers. It is South Asia's most admired animation studio and part of the international business conglomerate, Comcraft Group, based out of Geneva.Founded in 1999, Toonz has a client list which includes the biggest names in media and entertainment like Marvel, Hallmark, Paramount, Disney, BBC and Cartoon Network.
