SPECIAL TEAM TO PROBE
MANOJ’S DEATH
A
special team will probe the death of DYFI activist Manoj, 24, from Alinkalil
who was killed during the hartal day. A special squad led by ASP Manjunath will
lead the probe. Bekal police registered a case against 12 persons as per the
statement of SFI district joint secretary AV Shivaprasad.Meanwhile, in the
postmortem held at the Kozhikode Medical College, it is stated that Manoj might
have died due to heart failure, as there was no marks of any assault on his body.
The postmortem was held on Friday. It is said that acute mental depression
during the clashes might have lead to his death. The forensic section has
handed over the primary level findings of the postmortem to the police.
Forensic section head Dr Sherly Vasu said a definite conclusion can't be
arrived seeing only the external injuries but only after chemical examination
of the inner organs.
