                       SEETHARKUNDU-A TOURIST CENTER

SEETHARKUNDU
Seetharkundu, on way to Nelliampathy, offers a thrilling view of the valley. One of the prime attractions here is the waterfall. A stream runs down from here to form a small lake. The legend says that Rama, Sita and Lakshmana lived here during their exile. Sita took bath in the stream here and hence the place is called Seetharkundu, the legend says. Seetharkundu is located 52 km away from Palakkad town.  Seetharkundu is a small place at Nelliampathi in the district of Palakkad in the state of Kerala, southern India. It offers a fantastic view of the valley below.
Seetharkundu Viewpoint is located at a distance of around 8 km from Nelliyampathy. It is believed that Lord Rama, Lord Lakshman and Goddess Sita rested here during their exile. The nearby Seetharkundu Waterfall, flanked by paddy fields, falls from a height of about 100 ft..This place is one of the organic farms engaged in cultivating coffee and tea. The site can be reached through buses from Palakkad via Nelliyampathy.
