G Karthikeyan, Speaker of the Legislative Assembly, said on Monday,9^th April,2012, that Mukesh had succeeded as an actor by maintaining his own individuality. “All artistes should have their individuality and this should not be mimicked by others in the same field,” said Mr. Karthikeyan while giving away the Dr. K.C. Sarasamma Foundation Award to Mr. Mukesh at a function The Award, instituted by the Dr. K.C. Sarasamma Foundation was presented to Mr. Mukesh for contributions to Malayalam cinema.
