KANNUR DCC PRESIDENT
 P.K VIJAYARAGHAVAN PASSED AWAY

 Kannur District Congress Committee President P K Vijayaraghavan died at a private hospital at Mangalore in Karnataka. Vijayaraghavan (72) leaves behind wife and two children. He was admitted to the hospital a week ago after he suffered paralysis.KPCC President Ramesh Chennithala condoled the death of Vijayaraghavan.The final rites will be at Payambalam on Thursday morning at 10.30 am.

In Kannur politics Vijayaraghavan was a close ally of K Sudhakaran, MP. The post of DCC chief was lying vacant after P Ramakrishnan was forced to quit the post in the wake of a row between him and the group led by K Sudhakaran MP. He was one of the former vice-presidents of the Kannur District Congress Committee. P K Vijayaraghavan, hailing from Kadamboor, was in the Janata party and later in the Congress. He was also District Congress Committee general secretary.
