CANCER PATIENTS CAN TRAVEL FREE IN TRAINS FROM APRIL 10
The railways would resume free journey for cancer patients to Regional Cancer Centre in Thiruvananthapuram from April 10 onwards. Three years back, it was after the effort from ET Muhammad Basheer MP, that railways allotted free journey. But for the last four months, the journey was discontinued due to negligence from railway ministry and the officials. This time too railways resumed the free journey with the efforts of ET Muhammad Basher. An order was issued allotting 6 berths for cancer patients in Malabar Express, Maveli, Kannur Express, Amritha, Rajyarani and Eranad
