DECIDED TO CANCEL THE PhD REGISTRATION OF V.S ARUN KUMAR
The Kerala University has decided to cancel the PhD registration of V.S. Arun Kumar, son of former Chief Minister V.S. Achuthanandan after a syndicate sub-committee recommended the action The committee has found that Arun Kumar got the PhD registration flouting guidelines of the universisty.
Arun Kumar had registered as a candidate for research in Bio Infomatics. One of the requirements was seven years teaching experience. The committee found that Arun Kumar does not have even a year of experience.The university had earlier cancelled the PhD registration of Arun Kumar but he High Court had anulled it. The court had observed that Arun Kumar was not given opportunity to present his side and asked the university to consider it again. The sub-committee was appointed after the court order.
