KALINGA PRIZE
FOR THE POPULARIZATION OF SCIENCE
Established in 1951 by UNESCO at the initiative of late Biju Patmaik, founder Chairman of the Kalinga Foundation Trust, Kalinga Prize is presented annually to a person or persons in recognition of their outstanding contribution to the popularisation of science and technology. The award carries a silver medal and a cash component of 10,000 pounds. The first winner of the award was Louis de Broglie (France)
