BEST DOCTOR AWARD
The Kerala State government has declared the Best Doctor awards which are conferred on doctors as part of the observance of Doctors Day on July 1st. The award for the Best Doctor in Medical Education Service has gone to B Padmakumar, Alappuzha Medical College, and in the state Health Service to K Venugopal ,General Hospital,Alappuzha. In the Insurance Medical Service, it goes to A.P Muhammed, ESI Hospital Alappuzha, and in Dentistry to Rosamma Joseph. In private sector, the award goes to P.A Fazal Gafoor, MES Medical College Malappuram.
Ramdas Pisharaody,Principal of Thiruvananthapuram Medical College gets a special award in recognition of his contribution for the development of the institution. K.P Aravindan, Alappuzha Medical College, is also being honored for the meritorious work he has done in treating sickle cell anemia among tribal population.
