     The Attukal township development project will take off with the implementation of Rs 10 crore programme. V. Sivankutty MLA said on Tuesday 14th June,2011. The project report for the  first phase will be prepared and submitted to the government soon. A detailed project report for the proposed amusement park at Kamaleswaram is being prepared. The MLA urged the government for immediate measures to clean up the polluted strech of the Karamana river near the Parasurama temple, at Thiruvallam. He also called for a meeting to entrust public support for cleaning up the karamana and Killi rivers. The ward members meeting decided to clean the Kariyil canal and all the ponds and fresh water bodies in the Thrivananthapuram constituency.
