A major stir in the state against the use of the pesticide Endosulfan with several civil society and trade union organizations joining hands to launch a campaign on November 16,2010.
The campaign will begin with a people’s march to the Accountant General’s Office on November 16. A meeting. A meeting of representatives of these organizations on Tuesday 9th November noted that Endosulfan was being used in tea plantation in Idukki and Muthalamada area of Plakkad even after it was banned by the state government.
The Kerala Kavya Kala Sahithy and Kerala Sastra Sahithya Parishad also demanded ban of the Endosulfan.
