IDUKKI LANDSLIPS(28-10-2010)
The death toll of the Idukki landslips at poochapara in Idukki district rose to three. Revenu Minister, who visited the area, announced an ex-gratia of Rs 1 lakh and another Rs 1 lakh for owners of damaged houses. Minister directed the district administration to immediately submit a report on the damage cased by the landslips and added that those who suffered losses of standing crops would be given compensation.
