ENDOSULFAN EFFECTS ON HUMAN BEINGS WERE MAINLY DUE TO MODE OF APPLICATION

Union Minister of State for environment and Forest Jairam Ramesh has said that if agricultural experts feel that there is robust evidence to show that Endosulfan had caused devasting efects on human beings, then the pesticide should be banned at the national level. Kerala has already banned its use.
The effects of the pesticide on human beings, witnessed in Kasaragod districts, were mainly due to the mode of application, ie aerial spraying on cashew plantations, on wednesday 17th November,2010. Mr Ramesh said Endosulfn was a human issue and not a political one. Some countries such as the united states had banned it, whereas many countries could not do so.
The Kerala government has requested the centre to ban Endosulfan Nation wide as its use had caused much misery to the people. Endosulfan had been banned including Brazil and U.S.

Aerial spraying has been banned in India since the past 10 years, then how has kerala been using it. Moreover, Endosulfan has been banned in Kerala for past 7 odd years, then why are still reports of victims dying due to 'recent exposure to Endosulfan'?
