TELANGANA PROBLEM

TELANGANA PROBLEM

All political parties in Andra Pradesh have double standards on the Telangana issue. The TDP openly extended its support to a separate state of Telangana. All the parties are accusing the center of not consulting the people's representatives before announcing the decision to bifurcate Andra Pradesh. The center should form a committee to elicit the opinion of the people of the three regions on the formation of Teleangana with in a stipulated time frame.
The need of the time is to bring back normality in Andra Pradesh which has been in turmoil for one month now. The common man is facing hardship in view of the utter failure of law and order, on the one hand, and the abnormal price rise,on the other political parties have lost their credibility.
A decision on whether or not to bifurcate Andra Pradesh should be taken on the basis of a brad consensus with out leaving the ground to politicians. A committee of experts should be constituted to go into the arguments advanced by both sides. Some kind of autonomy can be granted to the Telangana region. Finance commission recommendation. The bifurcation of Andra Pradesh will put the common man to greater hardship in terms of resource sharing and increased costs, political leaders are fooling the common man into believing that bifurcation will be beneficial to the people of the Telangana region. Let us learn from history and forget bifurcation, which will benefit only the political parties.
The leaders of Telangana have failed to address the basic issues of backwardness
A crucial meeting of eight recognized political parties, called by center to discuss the Telangana issue, ended on Tuesday, 5th January, 2010 with out arriving at a consensus.
As the central and Andra Pradesh government showed more interest in the return of peace and normality to the state, representative of eight major political parties expressed contradicting views at the all party meeting held on Tuesday 5th January, 2009 on formation of a separate Telangana.
CPI state secretary told that a majority of the representatives favored Telangana. While the CPI the BJP and the TRS fully supported creation of Telangana. The CPI (M) and the praja Rayjam opposed division of the state.
