Liechtenstein is a German-speaking, 25km-long principality between Austria and Switzerland. It’s known for its medieval castles, alpine landscapes and villages linked by a network of trails. As of late 2016, only about 5 Indians were living in Liechtenstein, due to restrictive residential permit requirements. A larger number, estimated at 50-60, commute from neighboring countries like Switzerland and Austria, where they work in Liechtenstein but live in their respective countries.

There are very few Indian residents in Liechtenstein, estimated at around 5 as of December 2016, because the country's policies make it very difficult for foreigners to gain a residency permit.

A larger number of Indians work in Liechtenstein but live in neighboring countries with easier residency rules. This group is estimated to be 50 to 60 people who commute from Switzerland or Austria.
