PROF. JOHN KURAKAR IS A
MAN OF GREAT VISION.
My dear Beloved John Kurakar,First of all
let me give my heartiest thanks and regards and showering heavenly blessing
upon you on the aspecious occasion of the celebration of your
"SAPTHATHI".I thank God Almighty who gave his Providence and
Protection since his birth to this seventy years of long life. Also I thank God
for giving such a divine person endowed with knowledge and understanding to
lead a society in the right path in the days of its atmost need. Great men will
born in this world when men went astray.
Here I quote a sentence from Bible, "Those who are wise will shine
like the brightness in heaven, and those who led many to righteousness like the
stars ever and ever", ("Book of Daniel. Ch. 12:3) "Peace makers
who sow in peace rise a harvest of righteousness", ("James, 3:17).
I am proud of in saying that, though
Prof. John Kurakar was not in the faculty of teaching in those time (during
1967-1969), while I was studying in St. Gregorios College, Kottarakara,
yet I was privileged to study in a college where in later days, Pro. John
Kurakar spent his life as a Professor in Department of Malyalam.
Some times a college will be made more
prestigious than ever before with the name of a persons who were educated or
taught there. For example, The Federal
polytechnic school in Zürich became famous all over the world when Albert
Einstein took his teaching diploma in 1900
from the University of Zuruch
also he took his PhD, in 1905. In 1909 he became Professor Extraordinary at
Zurich.
As I mentioned the above example, St.
Gregorios College became a prestigious Educational Institution in Central
Kerala with the dedicated services of Professors like John Kurakar.
Prof. John Kurakar is a man of great
vision, a pioneer in leadership, an expert in organizational skills, a man of
strong will and faith, a compassionate to all who are under privileged and
marginalised people in our society. He is always doing his best in bringing
back people towards the right paths of life to those who are misled by the corrupted
anti-social elements. He is the owner of a great mind in bringing others into a
high elevated status in accordance with the opportunities.
He is a Victorious man of suffering,
resurrected from the valley of suffering and pain during the days of his illness.
He became victorious only because of his strong faith and courage. His life is
a witness and a lesson to others that how we can defeat our adversaries when
comes in an unexpected time in our life.
Suffering often comes unexpectedly and
brutally. Even if it is great, one should not feel sorry for oneself.
Forgetfulness itself is always best. This is a characteristic of the just man.
Sorrow is only one more sign that we are on pilgrimage on this earth.
Unless a grain of wheat falls into the
earth and dies, it remains alone, but if it dies, it bears much fruit, (John,
12:24). Cross is a symbol of human callousness towards God. Christ Passion is
the production of all those rejections, weakness, indifferences, moment of
cowardice.
Here with let me conclude with a word of
gratitude for which he has fastened me with great love and affection since the
days from we met each other. Above all God gave me numerous opportunities to
share our ideas each other.l am Praying for his good health and good spirit all
in the days of his life.Let he be "like the stars ever and ever", and
a Peace maker who sow in peace rise a harvest of righteousness",
Fr. Dr. O. Thomas,M. A, B. D, M. Phil,
