SR I-LANKA ATTACKS- A SAD DAY FOR THE WORLD

SR I-LANKA ATTACKS- A SAD DAY FOR THE WORLD
290 innocent people have been killed in Sri- Lanka in the horrific attacks, with around 500 left wounded. It is unthinkable that evens the most sacred of places—houses of worship—are no longer safe and that such places would be targeted. Several politicians and actors are condemning the attack that took place in churches and five-star hotels. Most of them are taking to social media to share their opinion on one of the most shocking attacks in the history of Sri Lanka. At least 24 people have been arrested in connection with the coordinated attacks and the police investigation is ongoing. We stand in solidarity with the people of Sri Lanka and condemn in the strongest possible terms the terrorist attacks apparently targeted at Christians on Sri Lanka's soil.. The brutal attacks in Christchurch and now Sri Lanka are proof that terrorism knows no religion, caste, ethnicity, or borders. The international community, especially countries in the region, must stand united and work together, putting aside all their differences. The terrorists also attacks on the universal idea of inter-faith coexistence and harmony. Kerala Kavya Kala Sahithy, the largest cc of   U.R.I in Kerala have condemned a series of blasts in Sri Lanka that killed at least 290  innocent people on  Easter Sunday, including dozens of foreigners with British, Dutch , American and Indian citizens believed to be among them. The Kavya kala sahithy leaders had said in a statement: "We pray for the souls of the victims and ask for speedy recovery of the injured
Pope Francis expressed his sadness over the attacks during his traditional Easter address at the Vatican."I want to express my affectionate closeness with the Christian community, attacked while it was at prayer, and to all the victims of such cruel violence," he said. The “U.R.I Kerala Leader’s expressed their "Heartfelt condolences to the people of Sri Lanka on the horrible terrorist attacks on churches and hotels.
"Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu expresses in the name of Israel's citizens deep shock over the murderous attacks against innocent civilians in Sri Lanka.Palestinian leader Mahmud Abbas described the attacks as "criminal and gruesome."Terrorism is a global menace with no religion: it must be condemned & confronted globally." Violence can never be the final solution to human disagreements. May Peace prevail on Sri Lanka and the world.
