Over 300 school students fall ill following a major gas leak from a nearby sugar mill in Shamli. Students being taken to near by hospital.At least 30-35 students from a school in Shamli district, Uttar Pradesh, were admitted to hospital on Tuesday after reportedly suffocating due to harmful chemicals from a nearby sugar factory.A basic siksha adhikari who rushed to the hospital on learning the incident said,"Due to gas leakage in a nearby sugar mill the students fell ill".According to the Newspaper, .

Shamli Police tweeted that Ajay Sharma, Superintendent of Police of Shamli, visited the hospital to check on the children and reported that all students are now safe.According to reports, students of the school fell ill after an alleged gas leakage from Sir Shadi Sugar Mill. The Chief Medical Officer has also ordered a probe in the incident and authorities have sealed the mill, reported ANI..Uttar Pradesh Yogi Aditya has ordered an inquiry by Commissioner Saharanpur and directed district magistrate to provide all help to children affected due to toxic emission.

The owner of the mill is also absconding. The students also complained of burning sensation in the eyes.

During the morning, the workers of the mill were spraying chemicals on the wastage and poisonous fumes emanated from the mixture."Later the students were taken to different hospitals where majority have been discharged and 4-5 students are on drip and will be discharged soon".The incident has created a situation of panic among parents and teachers and the parents have started a protest against the sugar factory as it is a matter of their children's lives.

ഉത്തർ പ്രദേശിൽ വിഷവാതകം ശ്വസിച്ചതിനെത്തുടർന്നു തളർച്ച അനുഭവപ്പെട്ട 300 കുട്ടികളെ ആശുപത്രിയിൽ പ്രവേശിപ്പിച്ചു. ഷാമിലി ജില്ലയിലെ സ്വകാര്യ സ്കൂളിനു സമീപമുള്ള ഷുഗർ മില്ലിൽനിന്നാണ് വിഷവാതകം എത്തിയതെന്ന് പൊലീസ് അറിയിച്ചു. വയറുവേദന, ഛർദ്ദിൽ, കണ്ണുകളിൽ നീറ്റൽ തുടങ്ങിയവ അനുഭവപ്പെട്ടതിനെത്തുടർന്നാണു കുട്ടികളെ ആശുപത്രിയിൽ പ്രവേശിപ്പിച്ചത്. വിഷയത്തിൽ സഹാരൺപുർ കമ്മിഷണറോട് അന്വേഷിച്ചു റിപ്പോർട്ട് നൽകാൻ യുപി മുഖ്യമന്ത്രി യോഗി ആദിത്യനാഥ് നിർദേശം നൽകി.

നേരത്തേയും ഇതുപോലുള്ള സംഭവങ്ങൾ നടന്നിട്ടുള്ളതായി മീററ്റ് സോൺ എഡിജി: പ്രശാന്ത് കുമാർ പറഞ്ഞു. വിവിധ ആശുപത്രികളിൽ ചികിൽസയിലായ കുട്ടികളെല്ലാം സുരക്ഷിതരാണ്. അന്വേഷണം നടക്കുകയാണെന്നം കുറ്റവാളികൾക്കെതിരെ നടപടിയുണ്ടാകുമെന്നും എഡിജി അറിയിച്ചു.അതേസമയം, ഷുഗർ മില്ലിൽനിന്നു സ്ഥിരമായി വിഷവാതകം വമിപ്പിക്കുന്ന രാസമാലിന്യങ്ങൾ ഉൾപ്പെടെയുള്ളവ പുറത്തുവിടാറുണ്ടെന്ന് നാട്ടുകാർ ആരോപിച്ചു.
