 സനയുടെ മരണത്തില്‍ ദുരൂഹത

Sana Iqbal, a cross-country motorcyclist who undertook a nationwide expedition to raise awareness about suicide and depression, died in a car crash in Hyderabad early on Wednesday, police said.Her husband was injured in the accident that took place on the outskirts of the city around 3.30 am, a police official said.Sana (29) and her husband Abdul Nadeem were travelling in a car and heading home in Tolichowki here when it rammed the median on the Outer Ring Road, said Narsingi Police Station Inspector G V Ramana Goud.

“Sana’s husband Abdul Nadeem was driving the car. Sana, who suffered severe injuries in the mishap, was shifted to a nearby hospital but was declared brought dead. Her husband, who received injuries, is undergoing treatment,” Goud said. The Times of India quoted police officials as suggesting that the car was overspeeding. Her family was quoted by the Deccan Chronicle as saying that Sana’s death was murder and demanding a probe.

The Hyderabad-based rider hit the headlines in 2015 when she undertook a solo 38,000-kilometre motorcycle expedition on her Royal Enfield Bullet across the country to raise awareness about suicide. She was quoted in the media as saying that she undertook the ride hoping for an accident to end her life but that the journey helped her battle depression and suicidal thoughts.The focus of her campaign was to educate people, particularly students, against committing suicide.A case under IPC section 304A (causing death by negligence) and other relevant sections was registered, police added.

ആത്മഹത്യയ്ക്കും വിഷാദ രോഗത്തിനുമെതിരെ ബോധവല്ക്ക്രണവുമായി ഇന്ത്യയാകെ ബൈക്കില് സഞ്ചരിച്ച സന ഇഖ്ബാലിന്റെ മരണം കൊലപാതകമാണെന്ന് അമ്മ. ഭര്ത്താരവിനൊപ്പം കാറില് യാത്ര ചെയ്യവേ അപകടത്തില്പ്പെധട്ടായിരുന്നു മരണം. പരിക്കേറ്റ ഭര്ത്താനവ് അബ്ദുല് നദീം ചികിത്സയിലാണ്. ഇതിനിടെയാണ് മരണത്തില് ദുരൂഹത ആരോപിച്ച് അമ്മ രംഗത്തെത്തിയത്.ഭര്ത്താനവും ഭര്ത്തൃമമാതാവും ചേര്ന്ന്  സനയെ പീഡിപ്പിച്ചിരുന്നു. ഇവരുടെ പീഡനത്തെക്കുറിച്ച് സന സുഹൃത്തുക്കള്ക്കെ ഴുതിയതെന്നു പറയപ്പെടുന്ന ഇമെയില് പ്രചരിക്കുന്നുണ്ട്. താന് ഹൃദയാഘാതം മൂലമോ എന്തെങ്കിലും ഷോക്ക് മൂലമോ മരിച്ചാല് അതിനു കാരണം നദീമും അമ്മയും ആയിരിക്കുമെന്ന് സന്ദേശത്തില് പറയുന്നു.

ഭര്ത്താകവിനൊപ്പം സഞ്ചരിക്കെ ചൊവ്വാഴ്ച പുലര്ച്ചേ  3.30നാണ് ഹൈദരാബാദിലെ ഔട്ടര്റി ങ് റോഡില് വെച്ച് അപകടമുണ്ടായത്. കാര് മീഡിയനിലേയ്ക്ക് ഇടിച്ചു കയറുകയായിരുന്നുവെന്ന് ദൃക്‌സാക്ഷികള് പറഞ്ഞു. നദീമാണ് കാര് ഓടിച്ചിരുന്നത്. ഗുരുതരമായി പരിക്കേറ്റ സനയെ ആശുപത്രിയില് എത്തിച്ചെങ്കിലും രക്ഷിക്കാനായില്ല. നദീം വിദഗ്ദ ചികിത്‌സയിലാണ്. 2015 നവംബറിലാണ് ഒറ്റയ്ക്ക് ഇന്ത്യയാകെ 38000 കിലോമീറ്റര് സന സഞ്ചരിച്ചത്.
