UP TO GIVE RS 2 LAKH TO KIN OF’ VICTIMS’WHO DIED WAITING OUTSIDE BANKS, ATMS

ബാങ്കില്‍ ക്യൂ നിന്നുള്ള മരണം: ധനസഹായവുമായി അഖിലേഷ് യാദവ്

Uttar Pradesh chief minister Akhilesh Yadav announced on Wednesday that the state government will give Rs 2 lakh to the kin of each UP resident who died in a queue outside bank branches and ATMs since November 8, when Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced demonetisation of old Rs 500/1000 notes.A state government spokesperson said the CM also expressed his anguish over people being made to stand in queues outside banks and ATMs to withdraw their own hard-earned money.Yadav expressed deep sorrow at the demise of Aligarh resident Razia and announced a financial assistance of Rs 5 lakh to her family from the ‘Chief Minister’s Discretionary Fund’.

Razia, a daily wager, tried to change six old Rs 500 notes thrice at a nearby bank. A dejected.Razia then set herself on fire, resulting in serious burn injuries.She was first treated at the Malkhan Singh District Hospital and then at the Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College in Aligarh. Later, she was referred to the Safdurjung Hospital in New Delhi, where she succumbed to burn injuries on December 4.Considering the poor financial condition of the family, the chief minister decided to give them financial assistance of Rs 5 lakh.Yadav also observed that such deaths outside banks and ATMs are heart-rending and announced that families of such economically-weak people, who died under similar conditions, will be extended a financial assistance of Rs 2 lakh each from the “Chief Minister’s Discretionary Fund’.

നോട്ട് പിന്‍വലിച്ചതിനെ തുടര്‍ന്ന് ബാങ്കില്‍ മണിക്കൂറുകള്‍ ക്യൂ നില്‍ക്കവെ മരണമടഞ്ഞവരുടെ ബന്ധുക്കള്‍ക്ക് യു.പി മുഖ്യമന്ത്രി അഖിലേഷ് യാദവ് നഷ് ടപരിഹാരംവിതരണം ചെയ്തു. യു.പി നിയമസഭാ തിരഞ്ഞെടുപ്പിന്റെ തീയതി ഒരാഴ്ചയ്ക്കുള്ളില്‍ പ്രഖ്യാപിക്കാനിരിക്കെയാണ് നോട്ട് നിരോധനം തിരഞ്ഞെടുപ്പ് വിഷയമാക്കും എന്ന് വ്യക്തമാക്കി ധനസഹായ വിതരണം നടത്തിയത്.

ക്യൂ നില്‍ക്കവേ മരണമടഞ്ഞ 14 പേരുടെ ബന്ധുക്കള്‍ക്ക് രണ്ട് ലക്ഷം രൂപ വീതമാണ് മുഖ്യമന്ത്രി വിതരണം ചെയ്തത്. സ്വന്തം കാശ് കിട്ടാന്‍ ബുദ്ധിമുട്ട് അനുഭവിക്കേണ്ടി വരുന്ന ദാരുണമായ സ്ഥിതിയാണുള്ളതെന്ന്‌ അച്ഛനെ നഷ് ടമായതിന് ലഭിച്ച സഹായം ഏറ്റുവാങ്ങിയ മുനി ലാല്‍ പറഞ്ഞു.. ജനങ്ങളെ ബുദ്ധിമുട്ടിലാക്കിയതിന് അവര്‍ കേന്ദ്ര സര്‍ക്കാരിനെ പാഠം പഠിപ്പിക്കുമെന്നാണ് തന്റെ വിശ്വാസമെന്ന് അഖിലേഷ് യാദവ് പറഞ്ഞു. ബി.ജെ.പി സംഘടിപ്പിച്ച പരിവര്‍ത്തന യാത്ര സമാപിക്കുന്ന ദിവസം തന്നെയാണ് മുഖ്യമന്ത്രി ധനസഹായ വിതരണത്തിന് തിരഞ്ഞെടുത്തത്.
