Prime Minister Narendra Modi's recommendation to the people of India facing difficulties due to demonetisation of high-value currency notes is to switch to mobile phone banking.Speaking in Bathinda on Friday, he advised people to let their mobile phones "serve as a bank and a wallet" in order to end corruption and black money.The Prime Minister was in Punjab to lay the foundation stone for the All India Institute of Medical Sciences [AIIMS] being set up in Bathinda. Addressing a rally before the inaugural, he made a strong pitch for more cashless transactions.

"The number of mobiles in our country is four times the number of households. People should use their mobiles to make payments. You should download mobile apps provided by banks on your mobiles. Thus there will be no need for currency in your pocket," he said.And he elaborated on its further benefits. "There will be no fear of thieves. We are living in good times when science has worked wonders," he said.He urged political leaders, teachers, and young people to give training to people on using mobile banking. "I am doing everything possible to ensure that the middle class is not exploited and the poor get their due. I have come to stop the looting of the lower middle class, the poor and the farmers."Lauding Modi’s move against black money, Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal said that the drive would eradicate black money from India. “By this step, Modi has helped the common man and farmers,” he said.

: നോട്ട് അസാധുവാക്കല്‍ പ്രഖ്യാപനത്തെ തുടര്‍ന്നുണ്ടായ പ്രയാസങ്ങളെ മൊബൈല്‍ ബാങ്കിങ്ങിലൂടെ മറികടക്കാന്‍ പ്രധാനമന്ത്രി നരേന്ദ്ര മോദിയുടെ ആഹ്വാനം.അഴിമതിയെയും കള്ളപ്പണത്തെയും നേരിടാനായി എല്ലാവരും അവരുടെ മൊബൈല്‍ ഫോണിനെ ‘ബാങ്ക് ബ്രാഞ്ചാ’യി മാറ്റണമെന്ന് പ്രധാനമന്ത്രി ജനങ്ങളോട് ആവശ്യപ്പെട്ടു. ബാങ്ക് അക്കൗണ്ടില്‍ പണമുണ്ടെങ്കില്‍ കാശ് കൈകൾ കൊണ്ട് കൈമാറ്റം നടത്താതെ തന്നെ സാധനങ്ങള്‍ വാങ്ങാനും ബില്ലടയ്ക്കാനും വ്യാപാരം നടത്താനും കഴിയും. ഇതിനായി ബാങ്കുകളുടെ മൊബൈല്‍ ആപ്ലിക്കേഷന്‍ ഡൗണ്‍ലോഡ് ചെയ്ത് ഈ സൗകര്യം ഉപയോഗിക്കണമെന്നും അദ്ദേഹം പറഞ്ഞു.പാവപ്പെട്ട ആളുകള്‍ക്ക് അവരുടെ അവകാശങ്ങള്‍ നല്‍കുന്നതിലേക്കുള്ള ഒരു ചുവടുവയ്പ്പാണ് നോട്ട് അസാധുവാക്കലെന്നും മോദിപറഞ്ഞു. മൊബൈല്‍ ഫോണുകളുടെ എണ്ണം രാജ്യത്തെ കുടുംബങ്ങളുടെ എണ്ണത്തേക്കാള്‍ നാലിരട്ടിയാണ്.
