KENYA- THREE FEMALE ATTACKERS KILLED IN POLICE STATION
പൊലീസ് സ്റ്റേഷനു നേരെ ആക്രമണം; കെനിയയില്‍ മൂന്ന് ബുര്‍ഖ ധാരിണികളെ വെടിവെച്ചുകൊന്നു
Three women tricked their way into a Mombasa police station where
they stabbed one officer and set fire to the building with a petrol bomb before
they were shot dead.Under the pretext of reporting a stolen phone, the women
walked into the police station on Sunday morning around 10:30 local time, with
a knife and petrol bomb concealed in their traditional Buibui robes.
"While being questioned by officers, one drew a knife and the
other threw a petrol bomb at the police officers," Patterson Maelo,
Mombasa County Police Commander, told reporters at the scene. The station caught fire. Police shot the three and
killed them. Two officers are in hospital with wounds. Presumably it is a
terror attack." Two bullet-proof jackets and an unused
petrol bomb were recovered from the dead suspects, coast regional commander
Nelson Marwa told reporters."We already have crucial leads that will help
in investigation," he said.Two separate police sources who asked not to be
named said a woman, who had housed the suspects the night before the attack,
had been arrested. No group has claimed
responsibility for the attack yet
കെനിയയിലെ മൊംബാസയില്‍ പൊലീസ് സ്റ്റേഷനില്‍ നടന്ന വെടിവെപ്പില്‍
ബുര്‍ഖ ധാരിണികളായ മൂന്നു സ്ത്രീകള്‍ കൊല്ലപ്പെട്ടു.
സ്റ്റേഷനകത്ത് നടത്തിയ ആക്രമണത്തെ തുടര്‍ന്നായിരുന്നു വെടിവെപ്പെന്ന്
പൊലീസ് പറഞ്ഞു. മൊബൈല്‍ ഫോണ്‍ കളവുപോയെന്ന വ്യാജേന പരാതി നല്‍കാനായി സ്റ്റേഷനില്‍ എത്തിയതായിരുന്നു ഇവര്‍. ഓഫിസര്‍മാര്‍ ചോദ്യംചെയ്യുന്നതിനിടെ സ്ത്രീകളില്‍ ഒരാള്‍ കത്തികൊണ്ട് കുത്തുകയും മറ്റുള്ളവര്‍
പെട്രോള്‍ ബോംബ് എറിയുകയും ചെയ്തതായി പൊലീസ് അറിയിച്ചു. സംഭവത്തില്‍ രണ്ടു പൊലീസുകാര്‍ക്ക് പരിക്കേറ്റു.
ആക്രമണത്തിന്‍െറ ഉത്തരവാദിത്തം ആരും ഏറ്റെടുത്തിട്ടില്ല. തുടര്‍ന്ന് നടത്തിയ വെടിവെപ്പില്‍
മൂവരും കൊല്ലപ്പെട്ടു. കെനിയയിലെ മുസ്ലിംകള്‍ ഏറ്റവും കൂടുതലുള്ള നഗരമാണ് മൊംബാസ. അടുത്തിടെ തീവ്രവാദി ആക്രമണങ്ങള്‍ ഇവിടെ അധികരിച്ചതായി റിപ്പോര്‍ട്ടുകള്‍ പറയുന്നു. നൈറോബിയിലെ ഷോപ്പിങ് മാളില്‍ നടന്ന ആക്രമണത്തില്‍
67 പേര്‍ കൊല്ലപ്പെട്ടിരുന്നു. ഇതിന്‍െറ ഉത്തരവാദിത്തം അശ്ശബാബ് എന്ന തീവ്രവാദ സംഘടന ഏറ്റെടുത്തിരുന്നു.
