രാജസ്ഥാനിലെ ഫലോഡിയിൽ 51 ഡിഗ്രി സെൽഷ്യസ്‌

At a time when the entire north west and parts of north India are in a grip of intense heat wave, shattering records, coastal Andhra and Odisha are receiving heavy rainfall as cyclonic storm 'Roanu' has developed over Bay of Bengal. To illustrate the contrast in weather conditions; Phalodi in Jodhpur district recorded 51 degree Celsius on Thursday, which was the highest temperature ever recorded in the country even as parts of Andhra received more than 200mm of rainfall since Wednesday.

The cyclonic storm, 'Roanu' over west central Bay of Bengal remained practically stationary 80kms south-southeast of Machilipatnam. As per the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the cyclonic system will move along the Andhra coast and thereafter intensify into a severe cyclonic by Friday. It will not make a landfall on Indian coast and instead is likely to cross south Bangladesh coast on May 21, as a cyclonic storm."The storm will cause heavy to very heavy rainfall in coastal districts of Andhra Pradesh and later Odisha. It will cause wind speeds to reach a peak of 100 kms/hour while the squall winds are likely at a speed of 60-70 km/hour.

രാജ്യത്ത്‌ ചൂട്‌ സർവകാല റെക്കോർഡിലേക്ക്‌. രാജസ്ഥാനിലെ ഫലോഡിയിലാണ്‌ 51 ഡിഗ്രി സെൽഷ്യസ്‌ റെക്കോർഡ്‌ ചൂട്‌ രേഖപ്പെടുത്തിയത്‌.1886ൽ 50.6 ഡിഗ്രി സെൽഷ്യസ്‌ ചൂടായിരുന്നു ഇതിന്‌ മുമ്പ്‌ രേഖപ്പെടുത്തി ഏറ്റവും കൂടിയ ചൂട്‌. ഏപ്രിൽ, മെയ്‌ മാസങ്ങളിലാണ്‌ ഉത്തരേന്ത്യയിൽ ഏറ്റവും കൂടുതൽ ചൂട്‌ അനുഭവപ്പെടുന്നത്‌. ശക്തമായ ചൂടിലും ഉത്തരേന്ത്യയുടെ ചില ഭാഗങ്ങളിലുണ്ടായ കാട്ടുതീയിലും നൂറിലധികം പേർ മരിച്ചിരുന്നു. ഇന്ത്യയിൽ ഏറ്റവും കൂടുതൽ ചൂട്‌ അനുഭവപ്പെട്ടിരുന്ന പചപത്രയുടെ റെക്കോർഡാണ്‌ ഇവിടെ തിരുത്തപ്പെട്ടത്‌. ജലക്ഷാമം രൂക്ഷമായതോടെ നിരവധി പേർ കൃഷി സ്ഥലങ്ങളും വീടും ഉപേക്ഷിച്ച്‌ പലായനം ചെയ്യുകയാണ്‌.കനത്ത ചൂട്‌ മെയ്‌ 27 വരെ തുടരുമെന്ന്‌ കാലാവസ്ഥ അധികൃതർ പറഞ്ഞു. 2015ൽ കനത്ത ചൂടിൽ 2500ലധികം പേരാണ്‌ മരിച്ചിരുന്നത്‌. ഗുജറാത്തിലെ അഹമ്മദാബാദിലും നൂറ്‌ വർഷത്തിനിടെ റെക്കോർഡ്‌ ചൂട്‌ അനുഭവപ്പെട്ടു.കാലാവസ്ഥ നിരീക്ഷണ കേന്ദ്രത്തിെ‍ൻറ കണക്കനുസരിച്ച്‌ 48 ഡിഗ്രി സെൽഷ്യസാണ്‌ വ്യാഴാഴ്ച്ച നഗരത്തിൽ രേഖപ്പെടുത്തിയത്‌. 47.8 ഡിഗ്രിയായിരുന്നു അഹമ്മദാബാദിൽ ഇതിന്‌ മുമ്പ്‌ രേഖപ്പെടുത്തിയ ഏറ്റവും കൂടിയ താപനില. ഗുജറാത്തിലും രാജസ്ഥാന്റെ കിഴക്കൻ ഭാഗങ്ങളിലും വിദർഭയിലും ശക്തമായ ചൂടു കാറ്റിന്‌ സാധ്യതയുണ്ടാകുമെന്ന്‌ കാലാവസ്ഥ കേന്ദ്രം മൂന്നാര്റിയിപ്പ്‌.
