ASSOCIATION DISTRIBUTED BRITISH MALAYALI FOUNDATION CHARITY FUND EQUALLY TO 10
BENEFICIARIES AT GANDHIBHAN
An amount of approx Rs.
1,35,000/-will be given to each beneficiaries during a brief ceremony, which
will be held at Gandhibhavan, Pathanapuram, Kollam at 10 AM on Saturday, 26th
of this month. A total amount of £ 13500.00 was able to raise by the charity through
the ‘Onam Appeal-2015’ campaign published through ‘british malayali’ newspaper
during the recent onam season. Mr. Fancis Antony, chairman of the charity
thanked all the individuals, readers, associations and all other donors for
their support and assistance in responding to the appeal whole- heartedly by
donating such a huge amount.
Ten beneficiaries were
selected after a thorough scrutiny and investigations by the trustees from a
substantial number of applications received for financial assistance. A blood
cancer patient and 8th std. student Anagha, from Vadakkekara, Aralam Panchayat,
Kannur District. Muhammed Hadi (12) with a rare disease of ‘sojiya’ from
Kodencherry, Kozhikodu district, a 5th year old boy with brain tumor, Tom from
Thidanadu, Kottayam district, Cancer patient, Vijayamma from Cherukol,
Mavelikkara, 21 year old brain-disease patient Albin from Pervaur, Kannur
district, a kidney patient 52 year old Sebastian V.J from Kothanalloor,
Kottayam district, Aravind .U.R (35) suffering with both damaged kidneys from
Kanchiyar, Idukki District, Jose John(45) from Karakurinji Panchayat, Palakkadu
District with ‘Muscular distrofy’ , a couple with heart problems, Beena &
Sunny from Cherthala, Alapuzh District and an ill-fated father of two sons with
chronic diseases, Basil Galio from Kollam will be receiving the above funds.The function will be attended by prominent
personalities such as Mr. Rishiraj Singh IPS and other important leaders from
political/social backgrounds
