DR. A.T ARIARATNA VISITED
KURAKAR GARDENS
Dr.A.T Ariaratna,the founder of Sri Lankan Sarvodaya Movement
visited Kurakar Gardens, the residence of Prof. John Kurakar and Prof. Molly
Kurakar on 1st October,2014 Dr. Ariaratna is the renowned speaker,
Scholar,Philantrophist, Social Thinker, Apostle of Peace. His Sarvodaya
movement is the grassroots humanitarian organization of Sri Lanka which has
15000 units in SriLankan villages. He has been working actively for world
Peace. He is also a strong belier of Mahatma Gandhi’s principles of non-violence.
He has been bestowed with several award like Gandhi Peace Prize of
the government of India, The highest National award of Sri Lanka that is
SriLankabhimannia from the president of Sri Lanka, Magseyes Award, Nivano Peace Prize, Acharya Sushil Kumar
International Award, His Holiness Dalai Lama Award, Hubert’s Humbry Award,
Denmark Award, Korean Award, Bajaj Award, Denmark Award, Belgium Award and Desa
Bendhu Award from the President of Sri Lanka and Viswa Prasdini award from the
Prime Minister of Sri Lanka. Two world Universities honored him with D Lit
degrees
