Deepavali
involves a series of grand and solemn ceremonies to mark the victory of light
and goodness over darkness and evil. Deepavali is an ancient Hindu festival that
is celebrated annually every autumn between mid-October and mid-November.Kottarakara Union Printers and Publishers and Kerala Palliative Care Initiative
jointly organized this year’s (20014) Deepavali Celebration on 22nd
October at 3P.M.This year Deepavali falls on
Wednesday The celebration was held
at Kurakar Town Center Seminar Hall.
Prof. John Kurakar, President, Kerala Palliative Care Initiative Presided. Mr.
Neelaswaram Sadasivan gave Deepavali message. He said “the festival of lights (deep = light andavali = a row i.e., a row of lights) that's
marked by four days of celebration, which literally illumines the country with
its brilliance, and dazzles all with its joy. Each of the four days in the
festival of Diwali is separated by a different tradition, but what remains true
and constant is the celebration of life, its enjoyment and goodness”. Artist
Sarasan Kottarakara, Suresh Kumar, K.K Joy, Mannadi Chanakyan, Simson John, Mr.
Sam were spoke on the occasion .President said that “Deepavali,the
most significant spiritual meaning is the awareness of the inner light.
“.
