RUBBER PARK
Union Minister for Commerce and Industry Anand Sharma will lay
the foundation stone for the State’s second rubber park at Piravanthur in the
district on Saturday. The park is a joint venture of the Kerala Industrial
Infrastructure Development Corporation (KINFRA) and the Rubber Board.
At the same function,
Chief Minister Oommen Chandy will inaugurate the Kinfra Industrial Park at
Piravanthur. Union Minister of State for Labour Kodikunnil Suresh will address
the function. Industries Minister P.K. Kunhalikutty will preside.The Rubber
Park will come up on 50 acres of land. The rubber park is being established at
a cost of Rs.36.7 crore. It is expected to provide direct employment to over
2,000 people.
