MURALIDHARAN WON ONAM BUMPER

C Muralidharan from Palakkad won this year's Onam Bumper lottery worth Rs 5 crore and one kg of gold. Muralidhran, a jewelery owner on G.B. Road, Palakkad town, won the prize for Ticket No.TG-886269. He had bought Onam bumper tickets for Rs.22,000 on September 14 from a lottery agency close to his jewellery showroom on G.B. Road when he went to collect Rs 25,000 prize he had won from the Karunya Lottery of the Kerala Government. Apart from that he won Rs 5 lakh worth consolation prizes on various tickets

He bought five Karunya lotteries for a total of Rs 5000 and when he won prizes for all, Rs 25,000, he decided to try his luck again. Then he bought 150 tickets for Rs 22,000 from MS Sundaram Sreedeepthi lottery agency . Muralidharan used to buy lottery often and though he had won many small prizes, this was unexpected. He is son of Chuppamani and Susheela, wife is Sruthi and children Amritha, Anjana and Vignesh. He is on pilgrimage in Gujarat with family. The second prize of Rs.1 crore of the Onam Bumper lottery was won by ticket (No.T.E-365928) sold by another lottery agency on G.B. Road. The winner took five tickets but could not be traced yet, the lottery agent said.
