CAR FALLS OFF BREAKWATER, BOY ESCAPED
A six-year-old boy escaped unhurt when the
car in which he was sitting rolled and fell off the Neendakara breakwater on
Saturday,2nd March,2013. Hook-and-line fishermen in the area who saw
the car moving down the breakwater rushed down and rescued the boy. The
incident took place late in the evening.
Waves beating on the base of the breakwater
entered the car soon after the boy was rescued. He came there with two
relatives. After parking the car on the breakwater and asking the boy to remain
inside, the duo went away for consuming liquor, the police said. The boy
playfully shifted the car’s gear and parking break. A gust of wind made the car
move backwards and roll down the breakwater.
