EARTH QUAKE STRIKES OFF EASTERN INDONESIA AND NORTHWEST MEXICO

An earthquake of 6.3 magnitude struck off the coast of eastern Indonesia on Monday,8^th October,2012 the U.S. Geological Survey said, but there were no immediate reports of any casualties or damage.The quake struck 100 miles (140 km) southeast of the city of Ambon, at a depth of 21.6 miles (35 km), the USGS said.An Indonesian meteorological service official said no tsunami was generated. A 6.2 earthquake struck in the Gulf of California off the Mexican coast on Monday,8^th October the U.S. Geological Survey reported.The quake was centered 69 miles (110 km) southwest of Los Mochis in Sinaloa, Mexico, at a depth of 6.2 miles, initial estimates showed.It was followed by an aftershock measured at 6.0.
