NEED OF OLD AGE HOMES

NEED OF OLD AGE HOMES

Nowadays the number of old age homes are increasing catering to the needs of the senior citizens.Though there is an increase in the number, many talk against it and they consider it as a sin.Of-course many sons dump their their parents in the old age homes just to get rid of them and lead a stress free life.Let us ignore them. There are genuine cases where they need someone to take care of them

“Loneliness as a factor, all over the world, does not choose society, people, religion or community, it comes with passing age.Companionship is required at this stage. Even those who live with the younger generation find themselves lonely, which leads to withdrawal symptoms. So, it is necessary to find the right companion for which socialising is very important. Before reaching old age, one must also be mentally prepared by managing the emotions and refrain from blame game. Many times one tends to overreact rather than giving a direct response, which needs to be controlled. According to psychologists and therapists, senior citizens should plan their time with friends and mates in order to avoid loneliness. There comes a stage when a human being’s social and professional term ends and one faces identity loss followed by loneliness. This eventually, over a period of time, turns into depression after which the victim experiences emptiness.“The best way to get out of this feeling is by listing down things that you love to do and wanted to pursue at some point of time in life. Then follow it, which will keep you occupied and busy But, there are times when people face problems in doing things they planned to do due to age constraint. It turns out to be a scary situation that makes them feel more lonely and uncertain about their future
