EARTHQUAKE HITS KOLLAM, PATHANAMTHITTA
Tremors
of mild intensity were felt in parts of Pathanamthitta and Kollam districts
Thursday,27th September,2012, morning, but there were no reports of damage to
property or loss of life.The tremors that shook the border areas of the
districts at 7.35 am were felt in Sasthamakotta, Eanath, Mannadi and Eivarkala.
Several residents in Mannadi felt severe shakes followed by a rumbling sound.
Although the quakes were felt only for a few seconds, people panicked and ran
out of their homes for safety.
