KERALA SCHOOL TO LAUNCH CIVIL SERVICE COACHING PROJECT

Kozhikode In a novel venture, a Higher Secondary School in Kozhikode district of Kerala is launching a civil service coaching centre. Talking to reporters here Koilandi Muncipal Chairperson K Shanta and programme Coordinator P K Shaji said the objective of the project titled 'Systematic Training for Excellent Performance' (STEP), was aimed at providing expert coaching to students from rural areas.The centre, manned by experts, including IAS officers, would provide traning to aspirants, particularly those hailing from backward strata of society, making them capable of facing national level competitions, they said.

The duration of the coaching for the first batch comprising 100 students studying in 9th to 12th standards, would be for four years, they said, adding classes would be conducted from August to December every years.
