WORLD FOOD PRIZE
After much discussion, Mr. Kenneth Quinn declared Dr. Daniel Hillel as the winner of world food prize. A panel of scientist from various parts of the world chaired by renowned Indian agriculture scientist M S Swaminathan who was the first world prize Laurate. Dr. Hillel's great work, which could well be of high relevance to the agriculture dominated economies such as India. His method known as micro irrigation that includes application of small but continious flow of water directly to the roots o crops will save water and also help to withstand severe drought condition.
