TPA PEACE BUILDING INSTITUTE-
WEEK LONG TRAINING IN PEACE BUILDING.
The TPA
Peace Building Institute
will conduct a week long
Training in Peace Building and Conflict
Transformation. It is scheduled to be held here in Kerala, India from
23-29 August, 2012. URI Travelling Peace Academy will provide free tuition,
hospitality and local transport in addition to study materials. We expect 25
participants from different parts of the world. Sally Mahe from SFO office will
join us as one of the key-trainers.
The Traveling Peace Academy originated
as a follow-up project of the URI Moral Imagination Peace Training that was
held in the United States, India, Philippines, Uganda and Ethiopia during a
span of two years. Dr. John Paul Lederach and Dr. Herm weaver were the
trainers. Ever since the formation, TPA could conduct successful training
programs in India, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh and we hope to spread wings in
different other regions in future. Our goal is to weave a wide net-work of well
trained peace practitioners. This will be an excellent opportunity for all
peace initiators to sharpen their wits and tools. We envisage peace engineering
as an artistic process. That is where TPA makes a difference from ordinary
class room enterprises. A few more seats are available. If you are
