GRAMIN
BANK EMPLOYEES
Pension has been approved for Gramin bank employees. All India Regional Rural Bank Employees Association said that finance minister Pranab Mukherjee announced this after the meeting he had with association secretary Dileep Kumar Mukerjee. Since 1987, the Gramin bank employees have been allotted the pay system like other bank employees but they were denied pension. Due to this, gramin bank employees resorted to all India strike and various protest measures. In a plea filed in the Karnataka HC, they got a favorable verdict and the decision to allot pension was take.
