 ANNUAL PLAN FOR KERALA
An annual plan outlay of Rs 14,010 crore for the state has been approved Friday at the meeting held between Chief Minister Oommen Chandy and Deputy Chairman of Planning Commission, Montek Singh Ahluwalia. Under the new plan, stress would be given to the development of agriculture and related sectors.The annual plan outlay for this fiscal is Rs 2000 crore more than that of the last fiscal plan.

While Rs 1288.47 crore has been earmarked for agricultural sector, Rs 4650 crore has been set apart for social welfare. The plan, that gives due importance to development of infrastructural facilities, has allotted Rs 751.66 crore for rural development.
