EARTHQUAKES CAUSED NO DAMAGE—EXPERT COMMITTEE
The expert committee that visited the Mullaperiyar dam in its report said that the recent earthquakes did not cause any damage to the structure of the dam.The the two technical members -- C D Thatte and D K Mehta--submitted their report to the Supreme Court-appointed Empowered Committee on Mullaperiyar issue saying that Tamil Nadu has not carried out the maintenance work as directed by the Supreme Court.
