| The Kerala Panini Award for 2011 was presented to writer C Rajendran by C P Nair, former Chief Secretary of Kerala, at a function held at Sarada Mandiram, Mavelikkara, recently. The award, instituted by the Kerala Panini Aksharasloka Samiti, is for his contribution to literary theory through his works, Tharathamyakavyasastram and Puthuvayana. Dr Rajendran is the Faculty Dean of Languages at Calicut University and is the author of more than 30 books.
