TO INAMU REHMAN

Inamu Rehman of Madhyamam daily has been chosen for K C Madhava Kurup award instituted by the Calicut Press Club (CPC).Rehman's feature ''Nammude Jeevitham Paridikkupurathanu,'' appeared in the Malayalam daily from December 27, 2010, to January 2, 2011, bagged him for the award for best general reporting, said CPC release here today.A jury comprising Dr M N Karassery, CPC Journalism Director V E Balakrishan and senior jouranlist Dharmaraj selected Rehman, a Sub Editor with the Malappuram unit of the Daily, it said.The award carried a purse of Rs 5,000 and citation.
